Last week was this annual rendezvous held this year in Asheville North Carolina. I flew down to North Carolina anticipating a warmer climate and a day on the water fishing in addition to the day of meetings and hearing about the new Orvis products.
The most recent blizzard missed us leaving only a few inches of snow. Apparently the snow fell to our east and south. The wind more than made for the lack of snow though moving the snow around and keeping the road crews busy. The temperatures were also something that you would notice, the low this morning was far below zero with the wind making it feel even colder.
We are in a weather pattern that brings a snowstorm every few days that started with a blizzard last week. It is snowing today with another foot expected that will give us about four feet of new snow in a week. After a long spell in December and January with little snow winter is back! Did I mention that the temperatures? That is right downright cold; three below as a write this at eight AM.
