There when you need it!
My party on Saturday commented on how I have things where I need them just when they are needed. The comment was about a second pair of long nose pliers fastened to the side of the console in the boat but as I thought about it that is not the only item.

Small school fish to be sure but still they are in the Saint George. Over the last couple of days clients and I found them in the usual early season places. Great fun on the fly rod this morning and lots of them! With warming weather and water I expect that things will only get better over the next few weeks. Now choosing where to fish just got harder. Freshwater on any of the lakes in the area or the salt for stripers.
The freshwater bass have moved into the shallows and have begun to fan out beds. The males are not aggressively defending them yet but this morning the bigger fish were nearby and very willing to take a large streamer fly, like this nice largemouth did in only about six inches of water. Total on this mornings trip was a dozen smallmouth bass all over two pounds and this beauty of a largemouth.
