As luck would have it a group canceled at Libby Camps this week and I was able to spend a few extra days at home. Yesterday I exercised the dogs in a local grouse cover, yes we found a few birds. It is 
always a treat to work with the dogs when they are at the top of their game late in the season.
Early this week the weather was quite warm highs near 70 in fact, a little too warm for comfort while walking in the woods actually. Saturday 
we saw a change here at Libby Camps with a few inches of snow and Sunday a cold wind with snow showers. Needless to say a pretty abrupt change in the weather.
I’m hoping that things turn more to normal for the next couple of weeks I love winter but this is just a little too soon for me.
The fall has been sort of slow to arrive with warm and dry weather in September capped off by an amazing 9 inches of rain at the end. I guessed that the fall foliage would be a loss with the leaves going brown 
and falling off.
