I usually lament when the perfect September day arrives and I am not on the water with clients taking advantage of the weather. Yesterday was that day this year and lucky me I was on Megunticook Lake in Camden with a 
client who really appreciated the day and the fishing.
Fall is here! The leaves are changing, mornings are cool and I am down to the last fishing trips of my season. For the record there are opens slots in my calendar during last week of September and 
around Columbus Day in early October. The rest of my fall is already spoken for so if you are thinking of taking a trip with the best of the Maine weather and spectacular scenery now is the time!
I had just left the North Maine Woods after a brief scouting trip before guiding grouse and woodcock hunters for Libby Camps next month. I was filling the Sequoia with gas and the woman on the other side of 
the pump who I do not know says to me “what a great business to be in”.
