Spring came quick this time. The first week in March it warmed some and then suddenly this week it was here! Sunny and sixty degrees two days in a row Granted cool and raining since then but it was a treat to have the windows open and go for a walk outside without a coat. Needless to say the winter equipment headed into storage in a hurry. Woodcock are starting to show along the field edges and will begin their mating flights any day now
The temperature in the greenhouse was nice and warm suggesting strongly that I plant a few seeds and move some of the deck furniture out where it belongs. Argy and I enjoyed lunch on the deck on Tuesday afternoon in bright sun with almost no wind. Snowbanks are retreating quickly in the warm sunshine. We are clearly still in the drought that we were suffering through last summer. I'm hoping for a pattern change that will give me a little more water this summer. Clearly I am not in control of that and will make the best of whatever comes our way.
Granted this is New England and it is only first spring but it is enough to give us all a taste of what is coming. Even if we get a reminder that winter does not give up so easily in the near future.
As always come write or call if I can help you create your outdoor memories. Or make your reservation online at this link.
Looking forward to sharing some of the summer weather with you!
Best regards,
