A couple of weeks ago Argy spent some time in Little Deer Isle. I drove up for dinner one evening which was delightful and delicious. I had a commitment the next day and left right before sunset. Heading home I drove over Caterpillar Hill in Sedgewick where I was surprised by this sunset view. Granted pretty great.
The most pleasant part for me though was knowing that in my time on the Land for Maine’s Future Board we had provided funding for some aspect of this conservation project. Don’t remember the details but I seem to remember something about the gravel road at the bottom of the photo and maybe a boat launch on the pond below. Sorry too busy to search the details at the moment. Still it was more that a little satisfying feeling to know that I had a small part in keeping this view for the future. What a great opportunity I had!
