Week off!

This week was planned to be my last at Libby Camps for the fall. Like millions of others though my plans were changed by the storm. The Beautiful November Morning on Megunticook Lakecamp called on Monday to report that the party scheduled for this week could not get flights to Maine and was cancelling. It is never a good thing to have a cancelation but under the circumstances certainly understandable.

Fall in the air!

Sometime in the middle of August things begin to change outdoors the days are noticeably shorter, the nights cooler (thankfully) and water The bigger bass begin to feed in autumntemperatures begin to fall. The eagle chicks are fledged and hanging around the nest sites hoping that one of the parents will stop by with a fish. Many of our summer birds begin to drift away in fact folks will frequently comment late in August about the lack of birds singing.
