You have to admit that only in Maine could you have a moose calling championship. Held for the first time this year the event was held in conjunction with the annual drawing of moose hunting permits in Oquossic.

The last week has been very busy for June, almost all of the trips were fishing with families. We have been on a few different local ponds and even down 
onto the saltwater for mackerel. The wildlife sightings have been a great addition to each trip.
After hearing excellent reports on striper fishing from the Kennebec and further south, I got a positive report from the Saint George. Argy and I took a few hours on a 
perfect afternoon with full sun, a stiff west wind and pleasant temperatures to check into it. We tried the likely spots all the way down to Maple Juice Cove on the western shore.
