Eagles in the rain
This morning it was raining quite hard with a brisk Northeast wind not much of a day to spend on the water. Still I needed to check on the eagles I have promised for several eagle watching trips in the next few weeks. Not to mention a good way to make sure that my raingear works as I expect it to.

This spring sure has come on quickly, it always does but I have been so busy that I think it snuck up on me. I fished last evening on Alford Lake over in Hope and the shad bush or service berry is in full bloom. A non-descript shrub of about 15 feet it really stands out right now with it’s bright white flowers along the shore of the ponds.
My morning started off innocently enough, I planned to sneak out onto the water for an hour or two and then return to my desk and some work done. As soon as the boat was hooked to the Sequoia the office telephone rang. A nice couple from Florida really wanted to spend some time fishing today. What could I say the weather was perfect, I had already gotten all of the equipment ready and was set to spend the morning on the water.
